One Of The Lakes
I carried out a tour of the Wentworth Woodhouse Estate. Details of the walk can be found in the Captain's Log of Wentworth Woodhouse Wander. Unless you pay a fee to visit the gardens, you are restricted to the public footpaths/bridleways on the Estate. It was only possible to get within 100 metres of the Mausoleum before further progress was prevented by a barbed wire fence. There was a Deer park, although I only saw two Red Deer whilst I was there. There was picturesque scenery though and well worth a visit. It is also worth visiting the churches in Wentworth village (an hour's walk from the House, there and back).
